new superduty owner, changing oils questions

Just got a 04 250 cc 4x4 5.4 auto 161,000 miles.
I was think of changing the front and rear diff, tranny and transfer case oil. Do you think this is a good idea? Is theri any thing special about changing the oil or the oil itself? I already changed the engine oil used motorcraft 5-20.
thanks

Here is some great how-to articles. I think all these links would apply to your truck but you may find some things not the same.

Rear diff: http://guzzle.rbmicro.com/rdiff.html

Front diff: http://guzzle.rbmicro.com/fdiff.html

Yes, I always change all the fluids when I purchased used vehicles. It gives you a baseline for future maintenance and eliminates any question about what was previously done.

Don't forget your coolant and brake fluid.

Use fluids recommended in your owners manual. Here is a link to an electronic copy of that manual, if you don't have one.
