Engine Removal Day 4. Today took longer then I had expected. I though I was going to just pull of the bed plate. The bed plate gasket is tied into the engine back cover which is connect to the HPOP cover which all had to come off. The engine was already on the engine stand so I was juggling the engine from engine stand to engine hoist to get off the flywheel, backcover, bed plate and HPOP cover. Taking a few days off, cleaning parts, heads to the machine shop, need to order gaskets for the whole engine, did not realize I was going to be tearing the engine down to this point. I will continue with more pics when I get everything ready to start putting it all back together.

Cheez-it I salute you guys for the hard work you do! I figure I will have over fifty hours in this job.

Regarding the fender vents, I like the look, wish my 05 had them from the factory.

Those who do this every single day for a living should be able to do it blind folded with one arm and a leg tied behind their back.

just fair warning some of the specs in the workshop book way be outdated. the online book is best. the second best would be the last release of the cd/dvd

Is this still the best method for the bedplate installation ? Just want to be sure nothing has changed.Thanks....
