cigarette lighter fuse blowing!!

Hey guys I have a cigarette lighter cremlin that I need help fixing. I am leaving on a 1700 mile road trip on friday and need some help. I have a 06 f250 and the cigarette lighter doesn't work and it goes something like this. If i replace the 20 amp fuse it will light up and act like it is charging my phone but it isn't. As soon as I plug in any other device that pull more then .02 amps it will instantly blow the fuse. Any ideas? I know it could be a short but everything is factory and in the harnesses. I took and used a accessory plug (12v outlet) using the factory wiring and it does the same thing. So it has to be either the wires or the fuse panel. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks

Well I took the fuse panel down and I checked continuity of the wire and it is not chafed. The only other thing on the fuse is OBD II and I don't know what that stands for. Please help with the definition. Thanks.

Pull the fuse (or leave it blown)
Take the lighter socket apart. It should unscrew. Sounds like you may have a short between the components.

Lighter can be replaced fairly easily. Other choice is to wire the accessory to the fuse panel or to a different connector. We leave nothing on a lighter plug since their failure rate is so high.

Where do I go from there? I was thinking that I could try to see if the plug has some crap in it, being that it lies next to your feet. But I don't know if it will come apart or what!
