99-04 Stock 20s?
I came across these wheels and wanted to know if anyone was running them, or know how they compare to the 05+ 20's.
they show to be made by Eagle, but have Ford center caps. offset is -1mm.
says they will support up to a 33" tire, but I was hoping to put a 35" like a 325/60 20 - should be a about a inch wider per side than the 285/16s I have now so not sure if that would rub then at lock. running about 4" of lift currently.
thanks!

Ok, so they are not factory wheels, the logo looks like Ford, but says Eagle Alloy.
Poked around and they are EA's 114 series.
SIZE PATTERN OFFSET BSM LOAD
20x8.5 8 on 170mm -1 mm 4.648 3420 lbs.
they also make a 10" version
20x10 8 on 170mm -21 mm 4 5/8 3420 lbs.
From the searching I've done here it sounds like not going over 4" of backspacing is the recommendation - and these would be more than that, does that guarantee a rub even on a 285 or a 305 tire?

The other problem you can't use those rims is because of the width, its too skinny. That's probably why it states a max of 33". If you cross-reference a tire manufacturer's web page (like I did with Nitto's) it shows their recommended rim width to be 9-12" wide for a 325/60/20 tire.
On our '02 suburban we bought a 20x8.5" rim and had 305/50/20 Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires and the tire was so rounded/bulging. It sucked-I didn't like the way it looked...plus that is a lighter truck too!!
If it is a good tire shop or that doesn't want to get sued or be liable....they probably wouldn't mount a 35" tire on that rim.

OK thanks - I have 285's on the factory 16's now and they fit great.
I found these wheels in the 10" wider version also, they already have 305/50/20s on them(used).
Sounds like that would be the proper size tire for that wheel - but would actually loose about an inch diameter over my current tires. Doesn't look like too many brands have an aggressive tire in that lower profile wheel either.
Looks like all the 35's would be happy on the 10" rim, but then you would have the rubbing issue. That leaves the safest choices at a 275/65 at 34" or a 285/60 at 33.5"
Unfortunately at least the GY 275 wants a max rim of 9.5" - leaving the 285 the size winner - but not really gaining me what I want.
Since I don't want spacers do I just need to find wheels with much less backspacing if I want to run the 35s?
I was playing with this calculator - very cool - and it seems to say the BS/Offset would be the same as stock(assuming a 7.5" stock 16 with 0 offset) Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com .
I see some other combos out there 20x10 with a 35" tire listing BS as 4.79" so that would seem to say it would rub as well? - 20" MO951 RIMS WHEELS & TIRE NITTO MUD GRAPPLER 35" : eBay Motors (item 140474097114 end time Nov-10-10 19:21:13 PST)
