Call Mike or check the "Vendor Specials" forum for deals from 5 Star Tuning. The X3 tuner allows for adjustments to the transmission shift points and a host of other features.

Let you engine rev! 3-4000 RPM for extended periods is not hurting the engine. Put your transmission in Tow/Haul mode and put your foot into the throttle.

Who are you trying to kid, bill11012? The V10 doesn't have near enough torque to handle a Powerstroke and the 5.4 definitely doesn't have it. Hook up your truck to PSD and put your money where your mouth is. Besides, the PSD will get better MPG, spend less on fuel and being running long after your V10 is dead. What are you getting 10-12MPG at 4 bucks a gallon and diesel is only 10% more a gallon. Stop trying to make yourself feel better for buying the wrong motor in your truck. Don't bash the PSD just because you can't afford one. Its all about torque: 5.4 3v best was 390, V10 best 457, 7.3 best was 550, 6.0 best was 570. Do the math.

I have the engine I want. If I wanted a PSD then I would buy one, and I have been toying with the idea of getting a 7.3 for awhile now.

How is pointing out that the 7.3 is much less powerful than a 5.4 bashing? Its a fact and I will not argue it.

Alright guys nobody gives a rats A** what you got under the hood or you what can pull...

I had an 5.4 in my old F-250 and they do feel down on power intill they rev up to 2500-3000 range, from their on it starts to pull. Its hard to compare the new modular motors to the old push rod motors to. Your 460 probly made more power right off idle were as the 5.4 needs to rev up a bit before it starts to build HP. Dont be afraid to let that 5.4 turn them high r's, they love it! I got a SCT tuner from Mike and made a very noticeable difference too...

We tow an 8500~ lb 5th wheel all over the southeast with our 5.4L F250. Even after owning and towing with six diesels since the early 80s, we have no trouble towing with the 5.4L. Using overall torque multiplication, it puts as much or more torque to the rear axle in direct and 3rd as the diesels did in O/D and direct drive. The 5.4L has plenty of power. You just can't be afraid to let it run. I love the sound of a V8 gasser at 4k rpm up a grade.

Nice video. How did you convince the white truck to let you pull him in low?

The 5.4 isn't going to pull like a diesel. It will do what you ask it. V 10 as well. Buy what your wallet allows. I prefer diesel. I've pulled heavy loads with sbc, bbc, bbf and sbf. I've done it with 5.4 and v10s... The diesel does seem to do it better in some cases. But the gas motor is capible. I chose the unreliable 6.0 diesel. 92k ago. Haven't had a issue since
