Smile Looking for Econo PU VIN Please

So, I'm looking to buy this PU....And I've been scouring your pages picking up tidbits....but the year eludes me.

Serial Number tag is located on the drivers side door jam...not the door as well described. Is that strange or normal depending on the year?

Numbers are: E10T 221145.....Color is 'J'

What does the 'U' in the wheelbase U90 code stand for?

And axle '01'?

You all have a really good forum here.

Thanks....

From the bits and pieces I see the E10 means regular pickup. For Econoline. The T means that it has a 170 engine. The 221145 says that the truck is a 62. Built in October of 61.
J is the color red.
U I do not know what that means in front of the 90 which is your wheel base.
01 for axle is the gear ratio of 3.50:1

The real serial number is on the brace at the tailights. There should be stamped numbers and letters on one of these braces behind the tailights.
