We've had snow on the ground for a couple days now. Roads are finally clearing up nicely, but snow still covers the front and back lawns. Not much to play with or in, but Gideon (my 15-year-old chocolate lab) is having fun in it.

I'd like to do that. My wife is from Germany and has relatives up there somewhere. She hasn't seen them since she was in her teens. Caught some fish with her cousin that nearly pulled her into one of the big lakes up there.

Chris,

Thank you for the "second" on my nomination. If my math is correct, I'm #27. Will someone inform me of the correct number?

Speaking of fishing (ice or otherwise), where do I make a request for area maps (local and topo), hunting/fishing regulations and campsite information? I've always wanted to spend some time "up North" but would like a little information to do some future planning.

Oh, what paperwork (I'm sure there is paperwork involved) do I need to have in order to bring in my own fishing and/or hunting gear?

I do believe the answer to Micah's thread-name question is, "It's here."

Forecast said 2" - 4" by 9:00 AM this morning. Ha! We had that much before I left for work yesterday evening.

Morning commute for the day shift folks is gonna be nasty.
