That is what they do under the bridge..lol

But no, I have seen it on video, and I have had enough of water under the sled, it wasn't a very pleasant experience, more like traumatic to say the least, it took me two full seasons to get back on the lake.

Yeah, can't say I have ever skipped over deep water. Nothing more then a few feet deep. Well, on purpose

There was one time where we were crossing an alpine lake and there was only anough ice to hold up the inch of new snow! Looked back and saw open water, kept that throttle pinned and finished crossing the lake

We will actually play on slush covered lakes sometimes though, you can really have alot of fun carving in slush. Gets a little wet when you get stuck though

I'm too much of a chicken now, any slush, I stay on solid ground, I'll leave the slush to the crazies!

A 154" x 16" x 2.3" track will move more then enough slush or water to stay afloat.
Especially when you put 150+ HP into it

Good morning BC,

Well, I am currently trying to talk a coworker through GPS problems with our Lieca 900.

I should be out there doing the survey work, things would be going much smoother!

Things would be alot simpler if I was out there. This is what happens when you send someone with very little survey experience to a high pressure job that is out of town. If he was closer, I could run out and get him squared away, but that really isn't an option when he is a 4 hour drive away.

Afternoon! It is nice and sunny here

This is mostly the Port Authority's fault. Instead of putting it out to open tender, they decided to put it out to the local bands. That drove it way over budget and they are trying to save money by not allowing us lead time on site. Normally, someone would be up there a week early to get the layout started, but they insisted that it be combined with the onsite inspection.

Afternoon BC.

So on Remembrance Day, I'm gonna take my daughter (and maybe the wife) to a Remembrance Day ceremony. Probably the one in Cloverdale... I haven't been to an outdoor ceremony since ... oh, 1989, when I was in the Air Cadets.

I usually just watch the one on tv that shows Victory Square in Vancouver. But it would be nice to see a live one again. There was a flyover by my house today, probably a practice run. Didn't make it outside quick enough to see what it was.

Anybody else doing something similar?

I take my boys to a one every year, rain or shine (it's always raining on Remembrance Day). Most years we've gone to Confederation Park in Burnaby, but this year we'll attend the local ceremony here on Bowen.
