Interesting. Thanks. First time I have seen a diagram like that on the Offy C. I haven't seen one on the DP either.

That's a very cool diagram. Thanks for sharing. I recently picked up another 300 with an Offy C on it. Haven't driven it much, but this'll be great info for when I start comparing it to the DP.

My question is would you be able to put a carb on it in any positing and how would performance be effected? I am looking at using one of these on my kit...

It would have to sit like it is in the pic looking at the motor from the passenger side. The primaries are on the left and the secondaries are on the right.

Should work fine on an Offy C...not so on a DP.

Thank you. That is what I was thinking but was unsure of the mounting orientation. I have only mounted carbs in the standard position.

I would think that setup would only go on one way, which is in line with the engine. If you had it going from fender to fender, it would bind with the valve cover.

That would look really bitchin. As long as it sets North/South (inline with the engine) it should fit. Throttle linkage would be something to work out though.

The web site states it is a standard four barrel foot print.

"The twin DCOE Weber sidedraft system replaces any standard four barrel with a pair of staged 2-barrel carburetors.

Infinitely variable to flow any required cfm, this system comes pre-calibrated and ready to run on whatever engine you specify.

Not shown is the fuel pressure gauge and pressure regulator, which come with every system. Shipped ready to bolt-on and go. Available with your choice of any custom finishing options."

"Progressive slide is seen on carburetor at right. This allows your engine to run on only the primary 2-barrel carburetor (on the left side). When more power is needed, the slide makes contact with the scew on its lever, and the secondary 2-barrel at right is activated. Drive on only 2-barrels...with the kick of a 4-barrel on demand."

You can see it here... Home
