Finally, the weekend can start.

I have not decided what I want to do this weekend. It is so strange. Think we will go see the grandbaby, then mosey on down to Twin Falls for the weekend. I am sorta getting use to listening to the snap, crackle and pop of a fireplace and snuggling up in front of it and enjoying a good bottle of wine.

The best thing so far is not having to answer to anyone but myself. Then Monday it is off to Charlottesville and the North Anna Power Plant. I have been waiting for that call. Just have to get through that damn physical. I don't know if I can duck walk that far, quack, quack, quack. If you don't see me for a few days, wish me good luck.

Good evening everybody. Hope the weekend treats you right. Weather tomorrow's supposed to be awesome, and not too shabby on Sunday either.

Good luck on the work-front Paul.

Good Evening Gang!

What a weekend. I did have the laptop with me, but really did not even want to get on to see what was happening. Spent Friday and Saturday Nights at Twin Falls in a cabin. I did not want to come back to the reality of Kanawha County and the BS here. As I sat on the porch enjoying a smoke a buck with at least a 16 point rack came up to within 15 feet of me and gave me a look of what do you think you are doing here? As he played staredown with me, several does came up even closer. It was so strange that they were not afraid. Me and the lady then took the golf cart down to the lodge for dinner. The deer were everywhere. There were so many no way you could count them. They would walk right up to the cart. Then the moon with only the bottom 1/4 showing made for a beautiful drive back to the cabin.

All I can say is what was I doing wrong before? This is how you are supposed to enjoy life. I cannot wait for the next trip. It is her choice where we go. I do know it will be just as interesting.

Well, got to get some rest, got a physical to go through tomorrow morning bright and early. I have to be there at 3 am and take the test and physical around 4. Hopefully, I will get through everything. Best thing is that the job is only a four hour drive. I can be home on the weekends.

Later gang!

Good Morning Gang! It is a great Monday. Well it looks like the Karma Goddess smiled on me. I got through the physical, passed the drug and mental screen and got the job. The bad news is that it does not start until the outage near the end of January. The pay is great, bennies even better and housing is provided since I will go right back into supervision. Since the outage is scheduled to start on January 30, 2011, I feel I will get called two weeks before to help in setup of the crews. I did request and got nightshift back. I don't know how this old body will handle a 14 hour day, been a long time since that, but I did it before (almost 20 years ago). I need 14 years to retire from that company. I have 4 and a half vested already. Might as well try it.

Gang, have a good day!
