No problem Brian. I should have added that the 2k was with the tilt down front window and the 12v dome light. Any other options would obviously be more.

I know it's been awhile but I didn't forget. Not sure if it matters at this point but here is what the inside of the glass looks like. The lock linkage is inside the rectangular shaped tube along the bottom and it engages the latches at either end.

Thanks!

The BedRug is really nice if it fits your uses. There was a guy in front of me at the car wash last week who had a BedRug without a topper of any kind. I talked to him about how it does when soaked like that. He said it dries out in a couple hours in the sun. I guess they were right about that!

The cap is very nice and makes a great doghouse during travel when we go camping.

I've got my eye on a very slightly used ARE Z canopy for my 2006 F350 short bed. And the bedrug is the way I'm going to go too.

He's wanting $2999 for everything installed and I honestly think that is way too much for a used ARE Z canopy.

Anyone have any other thoughts or input?

Depending on options, a Z series is just under 2k, and a BR is less than $400. That's brand new.

So even if you bought brand new, he's still asking in the neighborhood of $600 for installation. The guy's an idiot. Buy new or keep looking is my advice.

Yes - I called Canopy World and their sister store in Portland carries the brand I want and for $2100, I'm getting brand new! (and no sales tax!)

Congrats on the new truck Walt and welcome to FTE!

The bronze is stunning in its' beauty.

You can visit the ARE website, type in your zip code and get the nearest dealer list.

Found a place with some guys I liked. But i kinda had to skimp out on what i got. Just couldnt afford everything after getting the truck. And the Z didnt have an option for the windows i wanted. Ended up getting a V series in bronze with the yakima rack, two vented side win-doors, vented tilt in front window, a light, non carpeted. And a regular plastic bed liner. Full coverage rubber floor mats for the crewcab, covercraft seat covers. Will do some pics once its in and installed. With throw some bedrug in there someday. I have alot of concrete and mulch, sheet rock etc work i need to do in next year so after thats all done maybe ill toss in some bedrug. It pains me but what can ya do. Still very happy I got one color matched. Ill trow a nicely cut rug remnant in there for the dog for camping for now. Whats the saying "Rome wasnt built in a day"
