Just realized................385,000 miles today, 84 2.8 v6 5spd 4x4 Ranger...rebuilt the 2.8 around 315,000, not bad for stock!......still orig. trans.
My '99 with 2.5, auto now has 140,000 not so easy miles. I bought it for my daughter and she has a damn heavy foot. It's held up real well. I'm taking care of a few little things on it and driving it myself for a while.
I have 111,000 miles on my Ranger. Its still tight & in great shape .All I need to make it right is a drivers door gasket. Someone tore it trying to unlock it. It makes a wind noise right by my head. I hope I can find a used one in a salvage yard.
10,500 miles on 400M, completely remanufactured (except for the original block 1977) 8 yars ago. Had petroleum oil in it till I rolled over 10k miles and a few weeks ago, did an engine flush and put 0W30 Amzoil synthetic and will change it each spring when I take it out of storage.
111k on my 01 Ranger 4dr 4x4 4.0, had 96k when I bought it 2 years ago.
2 DPF switches, oil changes and now a new front wheel bearing/hub assembly
no other problems, best small pickup I've ever had, course at 16 mpg I shoulda had a V-8 lol
