Changing Fans
Hey everyone,
well someone on here has probably had to do this one already, changing the fan on the 6.7, but maybe not for the reason I have to. I had a cat crawl up in there, and well I'll save you anymore but the fan blade are broke off, and $300 later I have a fan in this tuesday. So the huge question is, what is the procedure to removing everything, just to get at the fan? looks like a big job kinda. Anyways Thanks in advance!

It's not that bad if you have access to an ac machine. There isn't nearly as many things to take off as there is on a 6.4 you have to pay close attention when you are disassembling though for putting it back together. If you seperate the fan shroud from the main radiator before removal it's easier. Also there's probably damage to the back side of the radiator if it was enough to break the fan blade.

No damage at all to the rad, maybe a few bent fins, but I combed them out easily. Cat broke 3 blades off the fan, so they fell down between the fan and the rad.
Once you get the intake tubes from the filter, and inter cooler off there is enough room to easily work in there on the fan.
I got some pictures, and I found a few loose hose clamps before I even started on my intake tubes! Was not very impressed, but they were tough to remove so they had been sealed luckily.
I will grab more pictures in the morning of the fan its self, and some of the install, maybe a short video if it interests you guys. As for the old fan, I got an awesome cat door idea to make out of it

Nice having a box to put stuff in
