Well as some of you know, i have been having some problems with my truck smoking white out of the tail pipe and an oily residue on the tail pipe. Well after hearing that it is probably the turbo seals and ordering everything from clay, who helped me out big time by overnighting me the part i needed, the turbo came out. Well after taking it out, the down pipe is completely caked with oil and the exhaust flange is as well caked in oil. Now i have the new non-ebpv pedestal and exhaust flange going in, but my question is about the oil that is caked on the down pipe, should i do my best to clean that off, of will it burn off?

ps you never told me you had oil in the exhaust or i would have guess rebuild right away not injector orings
