Major dilema
OK, here is my issue: I bought a 1963 F250 about a month ago. The truck looks good, but it is a 250 so it has a Dana 60 with 4.56 gears, 4spd 223 I-6 engine. I was originally thinking of dropping a 292 in it and a 9" rear end to make it more driveable.
I like the truck, so I sent an email picture to my uncle to show him what I got and if he knows any farmers in his area with one of these laying around that would have some parts from. He says sure, I have one that looks like it.
He has a 1966 F100 Custom cab LWB with a 352, 4spd. He wanted to start it for me so I could hear it but the battery was dead. He just backed it into the trees this spring to get it out of his way on the farm. All the trim is in tact and chrome is in great shape. I fell in love with the truck. It does need a rh front fender and some work on the rh bed side. Obviously it also needs a paint job. It was a field pickup so the only use it has had in 25 years is drag a fuel trailer to the field in the summer. Body mounts are perfect and so are the cab corners.
It sounds like a no brainer so I bought it, now what do I do with the 1963, part it out or sell the entire cab or see if the previous owner wants it back? I only have funds for one project.
