Down here in the Lone Star State I run the 6637 all the time.I have never read about the fellas up north changing from a 6637 in the winter?
I would you would be fine but I am not a cold weather driver.

Don't worry about the mileage, if Wisconsin is like the communist state of California ( and a bunch of other states) they switch to a winter blend diesel which hurts mileage no matter what filter you run.

The 6637 will likely get slightly warmer air anyway...

I am your neighbor in the beauty of Michigan, the Thumb area. I run a 6637 all year round. No trouble starting or running. And no matter what you do you will lose mileage because here in Michigan we change the fuel and it does drop. From a summer normal of 20.8-21.5 down to the winter normal of around 18.7-20.1 that's the way it is.
