service engine code / glow plug communication issue?
Greetings. I have been getting a periodic service engine light on my 2000 7.3 that when checked at the local auto parts store showes PO83 code, glow plug module control to ECM communication circut fault, it gives a possible explanation as a dignostic line open or short circuit condition or faulty gpcm or ecm fault.
The engine seems to fire up fine so I believe the glow plugs are doing their job. If anyone has any advice on what to do about this I would appreciate it.

I am having a similar issue and am just debating on swapping out the relay. Seems since I've messed with stuff in that area (diesel o-rings) my code has gotten worse (reappearing more frequently) -so I am 90% certain that the GPR needs replacement.
