is that a low pinion d60 or something? maybe it's just me, but the front looks like it's low and tilted downward or something. could just be my tired eyes and inability to look closely.

it is a low pin dana 60 and the pinion is at a ****ty angle. im going to have to buy some pinion spacers and calculate pinion angle and fix that when i install the tcase and drivelines.

sorry no pictures yet. ive been super busy.

But i did install a steering stabilizer, got all my steering tight and have pretty much eliminated any death wobble. drives down the highway like a champ, cruises pretty nice. I still need to do an axle swap and get my dana 60 in the rearend. and i want to lift it some more in the back.

I will try to post some photos tomorrow. I also got some tubing and im going to make a tube support bracket setup for the front hangers and the rear shackle mounts and stiffen everything up with some 1 3/4" .120 wall DOM tubing.

I hate to tell you but a steering stabilizer did not "eliminate" your death wobble. It just masked it.

only thing to me that really matters is that the problem is no longer there. this truck is my daily driver to work and anywhere i want to go. so anything i do that makes it drive better is a plus. and if installing a steering stablizer MASKED the problem, great. doesnt death wobble who cares.

part of my problem is, BALD old, dry rotted, bias ply piece of crap super swamper tires. I can already say im waiting to get 40/14.50/17 toyo mt tires here very soon.

youre still death wobbling there turbo. The stabilizer just isnt allowing as much to transfer to your steering wheel.

This being your DD is all the more reason to fix it correctly and take the POS stabilizer off.

my only real problem now is the tires. get rid of the tires and the death wobble is gone. i borrowed a set of my friends 38s and it drove great. bald, bias ply swampers are not great at all.

F-150 4wd power steering box, drag link made from motorcyle frame tubing, i did have to make and cut a custom shaft between the colum and the box. the high steer arm is working good. Nothing has broken, ive thrashed it off road. steering is solid. has practically NO steering slop, and drives like a dream down the highway. I threw on my spare pair of 38.5 gumbo monster mudders i had and they are doing pretty good so far.

compared to the factory highboy style steering, this setup is much better!
