You mean put the money in the fuel tanks? lol. I'm about done putting money into the truck. It'll get a paint job when the paint gets worse and that's about it. I have everything pretty much the way I want it.

Ah, I understand now. My dream is to find a '65 Impala that I can fix up just how I like. Which, incidentally, is *exactly* the way this guy did: https://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/s...hp?tid/337580/

Man, that one looks great! I was looking for an old Galaxie or LTD for a while but all of them around here are either very nice and people want $20K for them or they are parts cars rusting away in a field. I'll find one someday.

I don't know about you but a three passenger truck with little to no concealed storage does not always work for me. Works fine for me most of the time except when I have 5 people to deal with. Hence the big boat of a car lol. My dad has had a 64 Galaxie for 20 years now and I would like one for myself to match someday. I sure as hell don't need a second 10 mpg truck lol.

I have a friend who has worked for Ford for decades. He told me that it was not uncommon to have the fuel filter "sock" stop up. Rather than drop the tank for replacement, they would remove the gas cap and disconnect the rubber fuel line at the fuel pump. Then, they would blow a burst of compressed air literally blowing the sock / filter off, where it laid harmlessly in the bottom of the fuel tank. Next, an inline gasoline filter was installed just before the fuel pump. Replace the gas cap and go.

I'm still on the hunt for the right bullnose, but I did put an 80-81 4-speed shift **** in my Ranger to mimic the feel of owning one.

Very nice Impala! The only problem is it is a GM product.

THIS is my dream car:

lol I keep looking at getting this decal for my truck. But I gotta first clean off the old decals and repaint my old diamond plate bumper before I consider putting a new decal on it.

I installed an aftermarket dizzy & coil. Replaced plugs and plug wires. Wired in a dash cam and a CB radio on my new (to me) 1985.
