I'm trying to wean it off of gas.

Actually, all I've fed it for the last two years is 100% gasoline. No alky. So I'm at a loss what caused that unless there are deposits in the tank coming out.

Only vans and Lincoln/Mecury's in this era had the Saginaw pumps.

At least that pump will fit your Windsor bracket!

Well, I just put it back on and with the mix screws 1 1/2 turns out it started right up and settled down to 13:1 at idle. And, the vacuum was up to 16+", which is much better than the 14" before I rebuilt it. Apparently the rebuild did the trick as it idles well now.

Didn't do anything today except walk by and look at it on the way into the house. Yesterday I listed my 300 six on Craigslist, got a reply today from someone that wants to buy it, going to come to look at it but can't come till Monday (lives 120 miles from me). Sounded very interested, but we'll see if he actually shows on Monday.

Gabe - Sounds like he is interested if he'll come that far. That's the distance from Tulsa to OKC, and I'd really have to be interested to do that.

Wet sanded the primer on the roof and drove the truck about 30 miles.

After wet sanding with 400 grit and a drop of dish soap in the bucket, with water on top of the roof it looks like glass. Primer sanded really easily too. Should look pretty good once it's painted.

the chrome on my grille was peeling. So I took the loose stuff off with a wire brush, hit it with some plastic adhesion promoter, primer and then black rockgaurd

Had some money in my Paypal from selling Ranger parts, and wanted to use it on something for the F150. But I just couldn't find anything I wanted. Then it hit me like a sack of repair manuals and parts catalogs.

Now I have a little CD on the way.

Yeah, I just sent Shaun a PM re that. The one from HiPo is frustrating but that can be fixed. The one from Forel Publishing should be given a miss.
