The little ones look good too, but I like the big ones for my crappy eye sight, even though I have 20/20 vision? I don't get that lol.

The location that me and you put the gauges in are a really nice spot to put them. (I copied your idea where you put them)

They say that copying is the most sincere form of flattery. I'm flattered.

Switched my oil pressure sender and mechanical gauge tube location around today, after the engine got warmed up and I bled the line several times so there are no air bubbles in the line. The gauge fluctuates 1-3 PSI kind of rapidly at warm idle, is that normal? when I step on the gas it goes steady.

Matthew, what you are seeing is the combination of the pump gears and relief valve. Many pressure senders have restrictors to dampen these pulses.

That's what I was thinking, it's really steady until the engine warms up then it bounces between 57-60 PSI at warm idle then once I step on it, it goes steady to 60 PSI +. The electric dash gauge doesn't move at all like that, just the mechanical one.

If you have 57-60 psi at a warm idle you have a tight engine. Mine idles at 20 when the engine is fully warm.

As for the stock gauge not moving, the stock gauges use heat from electrical current to move the gauge, and it takes several seconds for a change to register.

Yeah that engine is pretty much new, well close to being new. I noticed that thing will reach 60 PSI within 2 seconds on a cold start and it takes 4-5 seconds to reach top oil pressure on the dash gauge.

Do you have an HV oil pump or a standard pump?

Dunno. I didn't build the engine.

Go to the bottom of this page and click on 1980 - 1986 Bullnose F100, F150 & Larger F-Series Trucks. That takes you to the main page of the 80 - 86 forum. Click on the blue button in the lower left that says New Thread. Then, when you start filling it out remember to use capital letters at the first of sentences, reasonable punctuation, and full sentences. There are lots of people wanting help, so many of the good guys have trouble helping everyone. So, if they find a thread that they can't easily understand they'll blow right by it and help the guy that took enough time to say it in a way they can understand it easily.

You know Gary, it's 2012.... there's an app for that.

I mounted 4 235/85 R-16 Kumho KL78 Road Ventures on my truck this morning in preperation for winter.
I also replaced my windshield washer pump and blades.
And dismantled my dash to repair the broken cable sleeve retainer for the vent selector.
