Welcome to FTE

Aftermarket sector only. Ford didn't offer a DRW pickup until 1980, and then...F350's only.

Ford changed the body in 1980, so DRW pickup rear fenders (they are fiberglass) from a 1980 will not work (without major mods) on a 1979 or earlier truck.

Do you have dually fenders already?

The company that used to make them, no longer does so. If you have a busted set, your best chance would be to locate the 80's chevy dually fenders to use for patch panels. They are the same style. They just have different mounting to the beds.

I'd say you should take a look at how far the tires stick out of the side of the truck...probably not much, at least not on my 79 F250 DRW crew cab. You might get away with some extra big fender flares--if the bed doesn't have huge cut-outs already and/or lots of rust. Don't know if they could be painted or what, but could be enough to do the job and wouldn't look bad (IMO), especially if you are thinking about converting a SRW to a DRW.

The company that used to make them was Arrowmark. JC whitney used to carry them. You see them pop up on ebay from time to time as well. I think someone mention that they're just GM fenders, and not even adapted very well to the Ford bed. So you might want to try that route. Beyond that, I'm sure someone competent with fiberglass could help you out, fo how much, who knows.

the company that makes the aftermarket dually fenders is arrowcraft products. they carry a set of fiberglass dually fenders. I don't like the look of them on the pre 1980 body style trucks. they do have a web site just google them.
