1977 F150 Project truck - many extra parts, new 460

Year: 1977
Make: Ford
Model: F-150
Price: $1950
Mileage: 100000
Color: Green / White
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): IN
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
Color: Green
Engine: 460

Deposits are coming due for our wedding in October and I can't justify keeping the truck as may storage my also be disappearing.

Short Summary:
1977 F150 - appears to be from the south, very little rust. The cab is solid aside from the passenger side floor board.

Factory Options
460
C6
9" Rear
2wd
Radio

The only rust on the exterior of the truck is over the rear wheel wells - very repairable.

The previous owner claimed the 460 was a recent rebuild bought as a crate engine from a nearby shop. He did not have the receipt, but has a warranty card (now expired due to time. The engine does look very clean, nicely painted, and runs super smooth, so I have no reason to doubt him. I ran 10w-30 in the engine this summer, it would run 40 psi oil pressure hot going down the road, 10psi at a very low idle at stop lights. No smoke, no rattles, no bad noises. The C6 also shifted smoothly, this truck would run down the highway at 75mph with no wobbles. The only issue is that the carb is leaking a little - I stopped taking it on long drives for this reason, I planned to buy a new carb in the spring.

The tires and wheels have 100 miles on them, BFG radials with new Cragar wheels - I have a receipt for about $800 on these alone.

I also have a 1969 429 out of a Ford LTD - this was the high compression engine, 60k original miles (I know the original owner of the car, I pulled the engine myself). This engine ran GREAT in the car, would light up the tires in a very heavy car with no problem. I was going to use it to build a 521 since the heads are pre-smog. While I was at it I pulled the 3-link rear axle and the C6 transmission from the LTD as well, just to have.

The truck has race-track molding on it currently, I also have a 95% complete set I bought as a backup during the restoration process so I could pick and choose the best parts. I pulled the second set off of a truck being parted out, so I am pretty sure it is all OEM.

I did swap a 1973 grill onto the truck as the original was broken. The surround has a little damage, the bumper is a little tweaked, and one fender has a dent due to a VERY light bump by the previous owner.

I love this truck because it was highly optioned from the factory and has the big block power. I really want to sell it all as one lot, the next owner can part out the extras if desired to recoupe some of the purchase price.

I would consider it - PM me an offer. It has a $200 Accel distributor with zero run time on it. If you don't want the distributor, let me know. The car had low original miles and the original owner is a family friend. The intake and oil pan are loose to show no crud in the engine, ran well when removed.

Thanks!
