interior lighting options
Well my 97F250 HD extended cab has but one small interior light. What are my best/ doable options to get more light into the interior. I was thinking (always dangerous) that I could pick up one or two interior lights, take down the headliner and install them either side by side forward of the original or in a straight line forward of the original and wire them all together. problems with this? suggestions as to how to do this? Any suggestions on laternatives would be good too. Did the extended cabs( were they called supercabs?) in the XLT version have more than one interior light? and if so can I swap one from a junk yard into mine? any thoughts folks. Thanks, keystonepaul

Do you mean that your truck just has a dome light with no map lights? If so, you should be able to swap in one like this with map lights. Its pretty bright. You can get if from alot of Ford cars and trucks. I got this one on Ebay for about 15-20 bucks. I couldn't stand the dim chrome one anymore. I know the gray is not an exact match. The camera flash makes it look worse than it is. Thats why I'm thinking about getting a black one.

yep, that is correct. guess I'll check ebay and junk yard u-pull- it when I get out there.
No apologies needed for taking the thread off in a different direction. It is amazing how dim that light is for sure.
