Checklist...

I'm about to move from the stock splits to some Stage I Full Force Singles and need to know if there is anything else I should do while I'm digging below the hood with the valve covers off...

I plan on replacing the glow plugs given that they're 10 years old. I planned on going with the stock motorcrafts, but saw these on ebay: Ford Powerstroke 7.3 Turbo Diesel Glow Plug Plugs: eBay Motors (item 150426916498 end time Oct-16-10 07:26:01 PDT)

Whatelse should I inspect, adjust, or replace?

i have heard do nothing but OEM glow plugs.

Edit:

And while you have stuff off protect the fuel line on the pass. side from the potential rubbing leak. place something around it so the bracket doesnt rub thru it.

Maybe plenum inserts and new boots, re torque injector hold down and rockwer arms, .50 mod

ARP headstuds, Comp Cams 910 springs, UVC harness clips (Diesel Technician Society), Clay's Plenum Inserts, Clay's OCR, new boots all the way around, CCV mod, bellowed up pipes, 38R....hey, it's just money, right?

I have seen the issues with the others and would suggest sticking with Motorcraft only. Especially for such a low cost difference between them.

Stewart, the temptation to spend more and mod more is already there, you're not helping...

I've had second thoughts on those ebay plugs and like the 6.0 boys, I know that not using motorcraft parts can lead to trouble ahead.

Btw, you'll be seeing an order from me come month's end...

I dunno buddy, I would argue that I AM helping!

In all seriousness, with my list, I would probably eliminate the headstuds, and put the 38R last on the list, since it's the most expensive.

Everything else, the 910 springs, the UVC clips, the plenum inserts, the uppies, the OCR, the CCV, and the boots would all be on my "Must Have" list.
