03 turbo in a 05????
I will be honest, I am looking at a 6.4. I have injectors going out, now a cracked y pipe, I think about cash flowing out. I love my truck, when I pruchased her it has an AFE intake, and upon inspection from me discovered a chopped up intake side of my turbo. I found a 03 turbo "the whistle that I want, and will fix my rig for". My question is, will the 03 10 vein turbo fit my 05? Or will it be possible to just swap the shaft and vein assembly?
Thank you

Just because his lasted 22K doesn't mean ALL the 03-04 turbochargers on the face of the planet last 22K. The ONLY difference is the turbine housing section between the two turbos, and his turbo failed in the center section (actuator portion) most likely, considering a recondition would not fix his smoking and loss of power problem. They don't fail that often in that manner. Usually a recondition of the turbine housing/vanes is what is needed for most repairs and sometimes a unison ring.
