Camping

Now that the weather is starting to clear up, it has me thinking about camping. Where is everyone'e favorite places to camp? We went to Bumping River up by Chinook Pass last summer and had a blast.

I have had a great time at Maryhill (near goldendale)
we stayed at the state park

there is an observatory and an art museum
it's right on the columbia river

also,
Lake Roosevelt
out past the Grand Coulie dam
I've camped at Keller's Ferry and rented boats there
they even rent houseboats

KrautBruner,
I lived in Port Orchard most of my life up until last summer. I always liked the Fort Warden/ Fort Flagler area. If you don't want to go that far there is always Manchester State Park or Kitsap Memorial.

those are on my list,
I think flagler was pretty full, forgot to check warden.

we have camped at scenic beach, it has nice and private spots.
never camped at manchester.
I've camped at belfair as well, it's still got plenty of openings

we were actually thinking of going as far as Twin Rivers (private place west of Port Angeles) or Salt Creek, west of P.A.
but that's just because my wife's family is out in Sequim/P.A. and if we had issues,
we would have support with vehicles and tools.
Even a place to park if we couldn't make it home.
