So, what have I done lately? Two quick pix - they aren't on the truck yet, but will be soon. I'm in the process of painting a new 2002-ish grille for it, and the other shot is my two flagpoles I'll use for display flags.

With a show coming up, the nerves are running high a bit - feel like I have a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it. I need to rent shop space or something with this goofy weather!

Definitely post more pics with the grille on. I want to black out my truck, I'm not fond of the amount of maintenance required for chrome out here in PA. With 4 kids, I don't have the time, need matte black!

I took a clay bar to the truck today, then followed it up with a synthetic wax followed by a carnuba wax. What a difference in the texture of the surface it made.

I'm swapping out the whole front end - bumper, grille, the valence underneath, etc. I'll have pix up when it's all done. Hoping to get that all done over the next couple weeks if the weather cooperates. This rain is NOT helping.

Thanks for the offer, Marshall. I'll let you know. Right now I've got to get some painting done before I can think of actually doing it.

Thanks Eric. Got a little work to do on the grille - couple spots need sanded out and I'm thinking 2 or 3 more coats of black then clear. We'll see.

Great progress pictures there Bill. I painted the honeycomb in my grill several years ago because the grey was getting very dull. It def. looks better all black.

Thanks Neil. I like the all-black look myself.
