After setting records of the worst kind the past year or so, recalls continue to wreak havoc on people’s lives. In this case, a woman in Jacksonville, Fla. is not only dealing with a recalled issue, but she says Ford is refusing to fix it, as well.

According to the lady, who wished not to be identified, she received a steering recall warning and promptly took the car in back in August 2014. The dealership said they fixed it. But now, the same problem is happening. The woman once again brought the Mercury Mariner in to the dealership after the steering locked up on her, once while she was going 25 mph.

This time, however, she says the dealership is refusing to pay for the repair, which she quotes as costing about $1,200. That’s money she doesn’t have at the time. The Lincoln dealership says there’s a slightly different story.

According to the technicians, the recalls were all completed in 2014, which now renders this problem completely separate and non-related. They say they’re trying their best to fix everything as efficiently and low-cost as possible, but still make sure everything is properly tended to. Though Ford is not offering help, the dealership did extend a discount to the woman.
