See the Shelby Raptor Baja Doing What It Does Best
This outrageously expensive Shelby Raptor is designed to do one thing, and do it extremely well: Destroy the dunes.
Not too long ago we broke the news of Shelby’s amped up version of the 2017-18 Ford F-150 Raptor. Dubbed the “Baja Raptor,” the iconic American tuner spared no expense at making the already capable F-150 an even better performer on and off the road.
Originally, only photos of the blue beast were released upon the truck’s unveiling, but now we have an exciting video of a swanky Shelby Raptor Baja Edition in a form of pearlescent gunmetal paint. Needless to say, it looks incredible! Given Shelby American’s location, we can only assume this video takes place somewhere in the Nevada Desert, where the mighty truck can enjoy plenty of room to stretch its legs and deploy all of its ponies. In case you’re wondering how many of them there are? A whopping 75 more than stock, so a total of 525 horsepower.
In addition to performance gains due to engine tuning, the Baja Raptor also boasts intensive suspension enhancements, upgraded rubber, and larger wheels. Furthermore, a plethora of body armor surrounds the truck on all sides, including a roll bar which houses an LED light bar similar to the one found in the front bumper.
While we’re not sure if this Baja Edition is different from the “normal” Baja Raptor, we know that pricing for Shelby-tuned SuperCrew Raptors begins at $49,295 if you provide your own truck. If you don’t currently have a Raptor and desire to buy the whole package from Shelby, be prepared to write a check for at least $117,460.
Enjoy the video!
