What the Truck? F-350 Custom is Built Ford Rough
Why? Why would someone do this?
We have seen a lot of custom built Ford trucks over the years. There have been cool and sexy restomods. Brilliantly constructed hot rods that make us gasp. F-150’s fusing superior performance with menacing looks. And yes, a little crazy is always a good thing, when it makes sense. But for the life of us we just cannot understand the reasoning behind this….
We came across this mash-up on Reddit. Redditor Yoloswagdon was approached by the owner of this rig, and asked if he was interested in trading his 1996 Ford F-250 5.8L for this 1995 Ford F-350. The truck features a sleeper cab in the middle of the truck, because, logic be damned. And let’s not forget about the smoke stack, a completely random touch. Also, that cab extension will be really convenient, said no one ever.
We’d love to see more of this majestic chariot, especially the frame which clearly seems to be in duress. But the uneven height is making our eye twitch. If this had been custom built with a little more finesse, especially the extension, it could be cool. However, as it is, we’re going to have to pass. And laugh a little.
We suppose if you wanted a truck that can do a long haul that required no cornering or parking, has a bigass spot for naps, and looks like it could buckle at any moment, this might be the pickup for you. But for us, it falls under “What were they thinking?”
