Watch This Mostly Stock, Stripped Ford Bronco Take on Seriously Difficult Terrain

2021 Ford Bronco First Edition Pritchett Canyon

Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Loren Healy show us just how capable the Ford Bronco really is in this jaw-dropping video.

While some have criticized the fact that its stock tie rods don’t seem to be up to the task of serious off-roading – with a couple of broken ones serving as proof of a possible issue – the new, sixth-gen Ford Bronco has otherwise proven to be quite capable. We’ve seen new Broncos do some pretty incredible things, though we’ve also seen owners do some pretty stupid things with them, too. However, when you put something like a 2021 Ford Bronco in the hands of a couple of pro drivers like Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Loren Healey, magical things happen, as we can see in this video.

Gittin Jr. claims that he and Healey saved this Bronco – which happens to be a one-of-7,000 First Edition – from the crusher, but doesn’t provide any details about that rescue mission. Regardless, it has already been stripped of all of its body panels, which is probably a good thing in this case. After all, they’re taking it out to the infamous Pritchett Canyon in Moab, Utah, where those panels would likely get bashed up anyway.

Pritchett is no place for stock vehicles, as Gittin Jr. points out, as it’s one of the more difficult off-road areas to traverse in a place that’s full of them. Regardless, they attempt it in a mostly stock Bronco, which has been treated to Centerline deadlock wheels, a set of Nitto Grappler tires, and Fun Haver rock sliders to protect the undersides.

The things that this duo manages to pull off in a mostly stock Bronco are nothing short of amazing, as we can see in this footage. Pritchett Canyon is filled with huge, jagged rocks, steep climbs, and sharp descents, and yet, the rugged SUV tackles it all. In the end, it didn’t even suffer very much damage, though it likely would have if the panels were left attached. Regardless, for any doubters out there, it’s hard to deny the Bronco’s incredible capability after watching this particular clip.
