It may be cheap, but Plasti Dip’s transformative results are indisputable.

Plasti Dip has existed for a while now, and its popularity is growing exponentially. For those of you who aren’t familiar, Plasti Dip is a spray-on rubber coating. It’s very flexible and durable, and if you get bored with it, you just simply peel it off. Voila!

Plasti Dip provides protection for the surface you spray it on as well. In addition, it won’t crack or break down in extreme weather conditions. Lastly, the rubber coating comes in a ton of different colors and finishes to fit your specific project needs. All of these attributes make Plasti Dip a popular choice for coating a lot of things, especially wheels.

Companies are starting to recognize the coating works great for painting an entire vehicle. Needless to say, it’s a cheap and easy way to spruce up the looks of your ride! In fact, an entire kit from DipYourCar.com costs around $350-$450 bucks. And when you have a new creative idea pop into your head, simply peel it off and start over again!

The job was completed in a fairly short period of time and almost looks like the truck received a conventional paint job.

The gentleman in this video by Jazz Wealth Managers proceeds to dip his 1954 F-100 in matte black Plasti Dip. The job was completed in a fairly short period of time and in the comfort of his garage. We think it turned out great!  It almost looks like the truck received a conventional paint job.

The process is still similar to painting a truck. You must put in the time to properly prep the surface and make sure everything is taped off. And you’ll want to make sure you spray the coating in light, even layers. The results won’t be show quality, but they’re certainly nice enough for the price.
