Truckin’ Fast Wednesday Presented by Nitto Tire

Lifted Ford Bronco channels its Monster Jam racing chops as it speeds and jumps through a muddy off-road course.

This week’s “Truckin’ Fast Wednesday” video comes to us courtesy of Bad Gas Video, and it features a modified Ford Bronco flying around a muddy race track. Really, this Bronco and the venue could easily work for FTE‘s “Muddy Monday,” but what makes this clip unique is the speed at which this big Ford can blast around the track. It isn’t just playing in the mud – it’s looking to set smokin’ fast lap times.

At first glance, it looks like this ’80s SUV has been built to conquer the deepest mud bogs thanks to a massive suspension setup and huge mud-slinging tires. Of course, there is also a loud V8 tucked under the hood, providing plenty of power to move the heavy Bronco around the twisty course.

Bronco Mud Truck racing

It all begins with the Bronco perched on a hill near the camera. Upon a signal, the big Ford launches hard, nearly standing up on the rear wheels as they begin throwing dirt into the air. After a short downhill stint, the Bronco nearly clears the first water obstacle, slowing down for the first turn before charging up and over a box-top type jump. From there, the old Ford climbs a steep hill, making short work of two more jumps and storming down a big hill through the final turn and across the finish line.

The video ends with a second run, in which the big SUV appears to be a little quicker, leading to even more air time and proving that big trucks can hustle around a track. If you ask us, we think this Bronco was a Ford rally car in a previous life.
