This week’s Truckin Fast video features a first generation F-150 Lightning blasting down the quarter mile against a Fox Body Ford Mustang. We don’t get any specs on the truck, but as soon as it lumbers to the starting line, you can tell that it is not your average mid-90s F-150.

The race is technically against a Mustang, but the F-150 beats the pony car so badly, that we don’t get to see what the Mustang ran. We do, however, see that this Lightning ran an awesome 8.55 at 155.79 miles per hour.

At the end of the video, there is a short segment where we see the F-150 Lightning race truck with the entire front end removed, revealing the fact that this F-150 is actually a lightweight tube chassis with a truck body.

More importantly, it has a monster Ford big block V8 with dual four barrel carbs, helping it to make enough power to rocket down the quarter mile in stunning fashion.

Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
