TRUCKIN’ FAST Beastly Ranger Stomps Tesla Model S
This week’s Truckin’ Fast video features an obviously built Ford Ranger drag racing with the mighty Tesla Model S sedan.
We don’t know anything about the Ranger, but we know that the Model S P85D has 691 horsepower and 687 lb-ft of torque from twin electric engines.
With all of that power being put to the ground via all four wheels, the Model S is one wicked factory drag car that is able to make it somewhat a race with the little pickup.
However, it was only somewhat of a race.
The Tesla fans will likely point out that the Ranger redlit (if they notice the negative reaction time on the big board), but the Ranger still pulls away from the $100k electric sedan – even in the thin air of Bandimere Speedway.
In the end, the Ranger runs an 11.37 at 116 miles per hour while every EV-lover’s wet dream ran a losing 12.41 at 111 mph.
