TRUCKIN’ FAST 1977 Ford F-150 Outruns Scion FR-S

By -

This week’s Truckin’ Fast video features some 8th mile drag racing action between a 1977 Ford F-150 and a Scion FR-S. We don’t know anything about the F-150 or the FR-S in question, but this is a 1977 half ton pickup truck drag racing against a modern Japanese sports car.

It sounds like it would be a pointless race, but it looks like this old school F-150 has a few mods to help it hand a beating to the Scion.

Now, I should point out that the Scion FR-S is far from a drag car, with a near perfect weight balance that makes it far more of a road course car than a straight line rocket. However, the 1977 Ford F-150 isn’t exactly the first choice of the NHRA sportsman racer, and it is hard to deny the fun of watching an old American pickup beat up a small Japanese sports car.

We cannot see what the two run, but we can see that the F-150 gets the green win light at the finish line. Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
