TRUCK YOU! A 2005 Ford Excursion V10 “Militia Machine”
Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes the trucks as well as the garages! Ford makes some wonderful rigs, and when it comes to where they are most appreciated, Texas is definitely a top contender. Why this is, we really don’t know. Sure, there is a need for work trucks among the farms and ranches that dot the land, but to say that the Lone Star State really has the largest amount of agriculture would be debatable. As we see it, it really has more to do with culture than anything, and we won’t say that we aren’t glad for it!
FTE member 05MilMachine is a resident of North Texas and also the proud owner of three amazing rides — two Mercury Mountaineers and one Ford Excursion! Today we’ll be stepping inside his garage to take a closer look at the Excursion, which seems to be the king of the bunch!
Though the picture above shows the smaller side of Texas, it also shows quite well how big and bad 05MilMachine’s Excursion, and we’d say it’s a wonderful picture. The rig itself is a 2005 Ford Excursion V10, which he has dubbed the “Militia Machine.” It seems to be fitting, as we wouldn’t want to mess with this ride! The truck has Rancho 9k shocks, mile markers, Powerstop brakes, factory modified fog lights, and more. Clearly the ride has been well cared for and treated well by 05MilMachine!
05MilMachine’s 2004 Mercury Mountaineer AWD 4.0 is his daily driver, whereas the other Mountaineer in the garage — a 2010 Mercury Mountaineer Premier 4.0 — is his wife’s rig. That leaves the title of “fun weekend ride” to the Excursion, which seems perfectly fitting!
Go stop by his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
