TRUCK YOU! A 1984 Ford F-150 Flareside
When it comes to cool trucks, opinions differ a lot. What really makes a truck special, or desirable, or otherwise sought after? The answer can depend a lot on the specific person and what they’re seeking, though there are a few specific traits a truck can have that certainly add it to the list.
These traits include things like reliability, safety, and ability. While I’m sure we can all agree that Ford trucks make the running, deciding which Ford to go with can be a much harder choice.
FTE member reamer made his choice, and he seems to be happy with the ride he picked. Today we’ll be stepping inside his garage and taking a closer look at the rig that lies within!
The ride itself is a 1984 Ford F-150 Flareside. This 4×4 currently has a 351 cubic inch motor paired with a NP435 manual 4-speed transmission under the hood, but it won’t stay that way for long. Reamer has plans to throw a ZF 5-speed transmission into the rig in place of the NP435. Along with this change, he hopes to add some Boss Hoss decals to the ride.
The truck is well on its way to being great, and it already is pretty awesome. We can’t wait to see the rig after reamer has made the swap!
