TRUCK YOU! 1968 Ford F-100 in Southern California
When it comes to the hub or automotive culture, it would be hard to deny that California has some strong claims to this title. Though oftentimes we think of Los Angeles when we think of import cars (Fast & Furious, anyone?), the fact is that the Golden State also harbors many other amazing rides.
From classic muscle cars to European super cars and even to the old school trucks, you can find just about anything roaming these streets. In fact, today we’ll be stepping inside California resident and FTE member Mike’s (A.K.A. “MIKES 68 F100“) garage and taking a closer look at his Ford rig that lies within!
Of course, we’re sure that living in a state that is home to so many classic rides can be a bit intimidating for the owner of, say, a classic ride. After all, there are many places throughout the Unites States where just owning an antique vehicles, even if it is a beater, is a very admirable and rare thing.
However, when you’re in an area full of flawless rides from the ’60s… well, we can only imagine that it wouldn’t be as big of an ego boost. Irregardless of this, however, we have to say that we absolutely love Mike’s ride and hope that he is very proud of it, since owning any old Ford is something to be looked upon with thankfulness.
Mike’s rig is a 1968 Ford F-100 with a 390 cubic inch motor, home-ported heads, Flotech headers, an Edelbrock performance intake, a 22 gallon Mustang gas tank, and more. The truck looks good, and we’re sure it’s a blast to drive down the street!
Though we will acknowledge that there are many other places in the world where classic rides are a common sight, we do have to tip our hats to the Golden State today.
Go stop by Mike’s garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week on TRUCK YOU!
