TRUCK YOU! A 1951 Ford F-1 and a 1950 F-5 Stake Bed
For many people out there, their career is one of the most important things in their lives. Sure, family, friends, and religion may easily come first, but a career matters a lot. It’s more than just how we get out money; it’s also how we spend our time. So when FTE member Joe (A.K.A. “harleymsn”) retired from his job as a police lieutenant, he had to find some other way to spend his days.
The way he decided to accomplish this task was by working on old Ford trucks and photographing them, and he seems to be enjoying it quite a lot. Today we’ll step inside his garage and take a closer look at his two classic rigs — Edith and Dollie Belle.
The first of these rides is Edith, a 1950 F-5 stake bed truck that looks to be in excellent shape. We can just picture this beauty rolling down the street back in the day, displaying the glory of Ford even back then.
The truck is still sporting its stock 239 cubic inch flathead V8, has a completely stock suspension, and a stock interior. However, the rig has been converted to 12 volt and Joe has set to work on the stake bed himself. So far, so good — we definitely love it!
The second ride that Joe owns is a 1951 F-1 that he calls “Dollie Belle.” The rig is currently a work in progress right now, but we’re very excited to see what it becomes! In addition to Edith and Dollie Belle, Joe also owns a 2001 F-250 XLT V-10 4×4, which we’re sure is a great ride to own!
Go stop by Joe’s garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week on TRUCK YOU!
