Truckin’ Good! F-150 FX4 Saves Semi from Snow

f-150 rescue

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that the midwest and northeast have both suffered from some fairly significant snowfalls in the past week or so.

One of the areas hardest hit was Chicago, which had Blizzard Warnings while the snow fell and fell. One poor semi truck driver unfortunately got stuck on a side street in the snow. Fortunately for him, a person helped him out with his Ford F-150 and a tow strap.

The FX4 F-150 is powered by the 3.5L EcoBoost engine and power is sent to all four wheels. After hooking up the tow rope to the Volvo semi, the driver guns in and starts spinning the wheels. After what seems like forever, the truck hooks up and starts pulling the big rig free.

This good Samaritan not only freed up the street for traffic, but probably saved the truck driver a significant expense to get towed out. But it’s all in a day’s work with the Ford F-150.

I feel that it is now time to insert an obligatory “Truck Yeah!” and “‘Mericuh!” to this post!

What do you think? Was there any risk to the driver’s Ford in pulling him out, and would you take that risk? Sound off in the forums!
