f250 breaks receiver

This week’s Truck Pullin’ video features a 2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty making a strong run when the receiver breaks, allowing the truck to rip away from the sled.

Unfortunately, there is no information on exactly what happened, but if you pay close attention to the very end of the run, the F-250 quickly pulls away from the sled with a gasp from the crowd.

What we do know is that this 2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty is motivated by a 7.3L PowerStroke turbo diesel engine with stock exhaust through a huge 8 inch single stack.

Based on the bit of black soot coming from the exhaust during the run, I wonder if there aren’t some other modifications made to help this F-250 make more power than stock, but that is purely speculation. What we know for sure is that this truck makes enough power to snap the receiver when the sled dug down into the surface.
