1952 F-1

Ford truck enthusiast Rimrock F1 — A.K.A. “Mike” — is an Elder User here on Ford-Trucks and joined back in April of 2013. A resident of Rimrock, Arizona and a marine mechanic in Flagstaff, Mike also enjoys shooting and anything to do with the old west.

Beyond that, one could say he makes an excellent vehicle photographer judging by his superb photographs of the stunning Fords that inhabit his garage.

1952 F-1

The first of these is a gorgeous 1952 F-1 nicknamed “Belle Pepper,” presumably because of the green hue of the paint. This 2WD truck sports a manual transmission and a powerful 239 Flathead V8.

California built with a five star extra cab, this vehicle is certainly something to be desired by every lover of the classic Ford. Though he hates the “ugly aluminum wheels,” his goal is to keep most of the truck stock.

Even so, Mike does hope to install a Mustang II front suspension, a Ford Coyote 5.0, and Tremec five speed at some point.

1956 Ford Fairline

Also occupying space in Mike’s garage is a lovely black and white 1956 Ford Fairlane nicknamed “Orreo,” for fairly obvious reasons. This lovely car boasts its original 312 Y block, and automatic transmission, and power steering, brakes, and windows.

Mike rebuilt the engine in 2011 and it has now been bored over .030″. In addition to this, he also installed a C-4, new carburetor, electric igniter, and electric fan.

Mike doesn’t have any future modifications for the car planned — he is happy with Orreo as he is now. That’s a great feeling to have with any vehicle, for sure.

Though Mike also has a 2013 Ford Taurus occupying his garage space, he has yet to have blessed the Ford-Trucks community with images of his ride, which he has nicknamed “Ginger.” Go check out Mike’s garage and leave some comments, browse the photos, and just have fun!
