Discover RC Corners Ford F-150 Raptor Craze with Faithful Radio-Controlled, One-Tenth Scale Version, the Traxxas Raptor

The Ford Raptor is a great example of an expensive toy for grown men. It was built to go fast and enjoy, both on road and off. We don’t necessarily need trucks like the Raptor, but boy do we want them. And that’s the very definition of a toy.

But what do you get the Raptor fan who already has a Raptor? How about the Traxxas Raptor, an awesome “grown up” toy? This 1/10th scale radio-controlled car shares a lot of the full-size truck’s attributes. It’s certainly got power — this thing tops out at a lofty 30 miles per hour.

The truck also has the same long travel suspension as its big brother, and oil filled shocks. Ground clearance is great, and there are even real BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/As on it. Plus, you don’t have to be an RC expert to enjoy the Traxxas Raptor either. Just throw some AA batteries in it and switch it on.

As you can see in this unboxing video from Discover RC, the Traxxas Raptor is super fast and responsive. The handling is very precise and lightning quick. And if you find yourself “accidentally” getting in some wet stuff, rest assured that the electronics are sealed from the elements.

The Traxxas Raptor is about as much fun as you can have for around $250. And that’s a whole lot cheaper than the real thing. So if you flip it off a cliff, you won’t be nearly as sad, or injured.
