Modified Ford Raptor Roars
Watch this Roush-supercharged F-150 Raptor tear up two different sets of tires before and after a new exhaust system was installed.
This week’s Tire Smokin’ Tuesday videos come to us from the YouTube account of Shane Rhine and they feature a heavily-modified Ford F-150 SVT Raptor doing a pair of healthy burnouts. The details are a bit short, but it appears as though these burnouts were performed both before and after some modifications.
The Modified Raptor
While this is the same Ford F-150 SVT Raptor in both videos, the truck has different modifications in each. In the first video (above), we can see that it has been lifted and fit with huge wheels. It also has custom lighting, an aftermarket grille, and a heavy duty bumper. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of details, but it still does a solid burnout.
In the second video (below), we can see that the Raptor has new wheels and tires, and there are also more details accompanying this clip. In this video, the F-150 has headers, full exhaust, and a Roush supercharger. The supercharged truck is definitely louder, and the burnout seems a bit more effortless.
More Sound, More Smoke
The first burnout video is not bad by any stretch, but there is no question that the Raptor goes into beast mode with the Roush upgrades, and creates more smoke in the second video. The truck is most certainly louder, but the F-150 seems to just roast the tires in the second clip, while in the first video the half-ton Ford seems to be working much harder to create the cloud of smoke out back.
