Watch a Big Block 1979 Ford F-150 in Action
This week’s Tire Smokin’ video features a heavily modified 1979 Ford F-150 pickup. Details are somewhat limited, but we know that this ’79 F-150 has a 428 big block V8 under the hood with dual Cherry Bomb exhaust, a 3-inch lift kit and while there is no mention of the transmission – we can tell by how the burnout begins that this truck has a clutch pedal. We can see that this high riding F-150 also has no bed, so maybe this truck is in the middle of a project build – or maybe it is just a good ol’ boy who doesn’t see the need for any more than a bare frame out back.
When the video begins, the old school F-150 is sitting on the road, revving the engine until a car passes. After that, the driver brings up the revs and lets the clutch out – quickly smoking the rear tires as the truck speeds off into the distance.
Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
