Tire Smokin’ 1999 Ford F-150 Lightning Walk Around and Burnout
This week’s Tire Smokin’ video features a blacked out 1999 Ford SVT Lightning F-150 doing a quick burnout. With the exception of the black painted wheels and the aftermarket grille inserts, this F-150 Lightning looks stock and when he pulls out into the road for a little tire smokin’ action, the truck sounds like it could be stock under the hood as well, although the driver states that at 13 psi, it makes 455 horsepower at the rear wheels…which would be well above the stock numbers of 360 horsepower at the transmission.
Regardless of whether this truck is stock or modified, the 1999 SVT Lightning F-150 is a monster tire slayer from the factory thanks to the supercharged 5.4L V8 engine. The blown V8 with no weight over the rear wheels makes it very easy to spin the tires when you want to, so when the driver in this video punches it in front of the house, this super clean F-150 is able to do an awesome rolling burnout as the driver blasts away from the camera.
