TIRE SMOKIN’ Tethered Explorer Does a Monster 4WD Burnout
This week’s Tire Smokin’ video offers up one of the most entertaining uses for a 1997 Ford Explorer that you don’t care about after it only cost you $100. I am not sure why this Explorer is being submitted to this abuse, but it makes for one great burnout video.
It is a little redneck-ish to begin with, but when we see that the driver is seemingly drinking a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon while doing this burnout, this piece definitely comes with the “don’t try this at home” warning.
If you watch the very beginning carefully, you can see a tow strap going to the rear of the Explorer and as the burnout begins, the smoke is thick enough that you cannot see the tether when the cameraman moves more to the side of the vehicle.
Thanks to the fact that the Explorer is tied down with what I imagine to be very old tires, the 4.0L engine is more than happy to do a monster four wheel burnout that lasts for more than a minute.
Amazingly, it seems as though this six cylinder Explorer goes through this abuse without any real problem. Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
