Remember the 1997 Ford F-150 with Triton Power?
This week’s Throwback video offers a look at the 1997 Ford F-150. 1997 was the first year of the 10th generation, introducing an all-new look with an entirely new design language along with the first of the Triton V8 engines.
While the trucks were curvier, more aerodynamic and more efficient, the two available Triton engines in the 1997 F-150 combined to make the Ford half ton truck a serious workhorse for that time.
In addition to those two Triton V8s, the Essex V6 was the strongest base engine in the segment, and to show off just how tough the 1997 really was – this commercial is chock full of brand new trucks doing hard work. You know, because everyone buys a new F-150 to pull stumps, right?
In any case, the 1997 Ford F-150 had a new look and new engines, making it one of the most capable trucks in the segment and this commercial shows the F-150 doing a wide variety of things – from hauling lumber and pulling stumps to playing in the mud.
